Review - Radox Smoothies

Radox Smoothies

I've used Radox for many years but normally stick to the products I know best and use regularly. A few weeks ago I was asked if I would like to sample some of their newest Christmas gifts, I was delighted. I was kindly sent a gorgeous Smoothies Gift Set which was beautifully designed and very well presented.

It contained:

Bath smoothie   >> The bubbles it made were so bubbly and fruity. It was a real joy to soak in them. It left me smelling great and feeling nice and refreshed.

<<  A Shower smoothie and a lovely white hand fitting glove mitt. The set was fantastic, I loved ever bit of it. The smell was so yummy, so fruity and fresh. It's luxurious lather from the shower smoothie is so relaxing and truly delightful. The wash glove is an extra added bonus too, it really helps you get a nice gentle clean feeling whilst using these smoothies.

I had to remember that these Smoothies were not for eating which is actually written on the bottles just in case you get tempted!

Every mummy deserves to Be Selfish every once in a while. A nice relaxing bath or quick soothing shower. Which ever you choose. Enjoy it with a new Radox Smoothie.

Aldi - Which? reveals best Christmas fizz and mince pies.

Which? reveals best Christmas fizz and mince pies.

Who'd have though that supermarket brands would have outperformed its expensive rivals!

Sparkling success:

All four of the champagnes awarded the Which? Best Buy cost under £20 and were ranked above well known labels Lanson, Moët & Chandon and Veuve Clicquot. Even the lowest scorer of the 11 champagnes on test, Aldi’s Veuve Monsigny Premier Cru (£15.99) scored a respectable 70%.

I received a gorgeous bottle of Cremant Du Jura Sparkling Chardonnay to sample and I must admit it went down very nicely. In fact almost too nicely as I drank the whole bottle all by myself - oops. You'll be glad to know it wasn't all in one night though, I did enjoy just one glass at a time. It was really nice and very moreish. I'd definitely buy this one again. I find that most cheaper cava's can be very dry tasting but I was pleasantly surprised with this. It was lovely and for such a cheap price of just £6.99 a bottle. It's an amazing bargain. Definitely one to add to your Christmas shopping list. I know it's now on mine!

Mince pie favourites:

Which? had an expert panel which blind tasted 29 pies on the day. Twelve were traditional style luxury mince pies, 17 were the different pies in the 11 packs of non-traditional pies and one was a homemade pie supplied by Patrick Moore. Aldi were amongst the top 12 scoring again for their delicious yet respectably priced Specially Selected Mince Pies.  They cost just £1.69 for a box of 6 which is great family value.I'm not a huge fan of mince pies but my mum loves them. When I was sent a box of these to sample last week I took them over to her to enjoy with a nice cup of tea. She's a bit of an expert at cake and pie tasting as she makes a lot her self this time of year. She gave Aldi's mince pies a great thumbs up. She loved the delicious filling and really enjoyed these little pastry pies. She said they were almost as good as her own lol

Here at Mummy Of 3 Diaries we really couldn't recommend Aldi enough, The prices are low and the quality is great. So whatever you're looking for this Christmas, why not try Aldi.

Review - Zoflora's Warm Cinnamon Concentrated disinfectant.

Zoflora's Limited Edition Christmas Warm Cinnamon Concentrated disinfectant.

Zoflora have released a limited edition Warm Cinnamon concentrated disinfectant just for Christmas. This Triple Action Zoflora is a  powerful concentrated antibacterial disinfectant liquid which not only kills 99.9% of bacteria and viruses, but also contains a powerful odour elimination ingredient and beautiful long lasting fragrance leaving your home hygienically clean and fresh. You can use it for cleaning: Floors, tiles, worktops, sinks, toilets, baths, taps, dishcloths and even potties. With so many uses and for just £1.35 for the concentrated disinfectant (120ml) and can be bought from most big supermarkets like Asda, Tesco, Sainsburys and Morrisons.  I'd never tried Zoflora before but was definitely willing to give it a try so they kindly sent me a sample to test out for them. Here's what I thought.

The packaging is lovely, very festive! I love the smell of cinnamon so this was perfect for me. I used it diluted but you can use it neat also. You only need a very small drop and still get great results. My surfaces and floors were not only looking nice and clean but also smelt great too. This Zoflora disinfectant definitely does what it says it will. I have no complaints at all. For such a low price I was actually surprised it was so good.

The only small thing I didn't like was the fact that it doesn't have a safety cap as it has clear "Harmful" warning labels on the back of the box for how dangerous it could be. I have 3 children and 1 of which is still really young so I have to store it up high instead of in my bottom cupboard which is where I normally keep all my other cleaning products. Safety is very important to me in my house as my children's health always comes first.

I loved this Zoflora disinfectant and would definitely be willing to try out the others scents too as soon as this one runs out.
We gave Zoflora a well deserved 4 out of 5. It would have scored a 5 if it had a safety cap.

Review - Neals Yard Wholefoods - Popping Corn

Neals Yard Wholefoods - Popping Corn

Who doesn't love Popcporn? I know I do. If you're looking to make your own popcorn from the most natural ingredients, why not try  Neals Yard Wholefoods - Popping Corn. We were kindly sent a bag to try out last week, something for me and my girls to try together. We usually buy our popcorn already popped so when this arrived I was a little nervous. I'd never made my own popcorn before and I didn't have a popcorn maker. I know that might sound silly but that's what I was thinking.

I followed the instructions on the back of the packet and here's how I got on.

I added 4 Tablespoons of oil into a saucepan and put onto a high heat. After a minute I then added a small amount of the popping corn. Just enough to cover the bottom of the pan.

I then held the lid on as I'd never done it before and was worried the force of the popping corn may push it up. It didn't though, so you have no need to worry if you're a newbie to this like me. After a few minutes they started to POP. My girls loved watching them through our transparent lid. It was great to see their faces light up as the popcorn POPS got more frequent. After a minute I turned off the heat and waiting until the popping sounds stopped before taking off the lid. I was amazed at how much popcorn we had made. My pan was full to the top!

I can't believe how easy it all was. We had made our very own popcorn and it was no problem at all. We poured our popcorn into a huge bowl and sprinkled a little sugar over it to add a little extra flavour but you don't have to or you could add any topping you like really.

It was really nice, so fresh and yummy! We only used a tiny bit of our bag so there's lots more popcorn making fun left for us to enjoy. We might try adding some melted chocolate or a little honey next time too.

Neals Yard Wholefoods Popping Corn is available from Holland and Barret's for just £189 for a huge bag of 500grams. It's a great bargain.

With Christmas coming up I'm thinking we might be making some popcorn chains to put on our tree.

Samsung _ Drawing myself using the Samsung Galaxy Note

Drawing of myself using the Samsung Galaxy Note & It's S Pen.

My latest Samsung Mission was to draw a picture or portrait of myself using my Samsung Note and It's Fab S Pen Stylus x I'm not very good at drawing so please forgive my attempt.

I'm not great at drawing but with the S Pen, it really is quite easy. It may not be a masterpiece but it sure was fun. The Samsung Galaxy Note's S Memo feature has some great features which really help you express your creative side. There's also some new apps that you can download free of charge too. I've just downloaded the "Omnisketch" App which is totally awesome. It lets you draw in so many different ways, the shading and colours are so fabby.

What do you think of my piccy? I don't think its that bad for someone who can't draw ;)

Review - Soda Stream's New Natural Flavours

Soda Stream's New Natural Flavours

I really do love my Soda stream so much and I really enjoy using it most days. We've tried so many different flavours  that it's hard to choose which is my favourite. Just the other week I was looking for some new ones to try when the lovely people over at Soda stream kindly offered to send me some to try. We were sent their brand new Naturals and Naturals for kids range.

We received 3 new Natural flavours - Pink Grapefruit, Lemon and Lime and Blackcurrant and Pear. Each has it's own delicious qualities. They are all nice and equally refreshing, real thirst quenchers. I loved the Pink Grapefruit where as the girls loved the Lemon and Lime. I guess we'll all have our own favourites but with there being so many to choose from it really is hard.

We also received 3 new Kids Natural flavours - Apple, Strawberry & Orange and Peach. Again these new flavours are all delicious. Chloe my eldest loved the Strawberry one whereas Lily loved the Apple. There really is something for everyone.

All six flavours are free from artificial flavours and made from all-natural ingredients and bursting with flavour, enabling fizzy families to create their own delicious sparkling drinks at home with water straight from the tap. Each of the Naturals flavours will be available in 750ml bottles priced at £3.99, which creates six litres of sparkling soft drink, offering a cost-effective and environmentally-friendly alternative to other carbonated soft drinks. Plus, kids will love being able to create their own fruity flavours, whilst having some fizzy kitchen fun!

We love our Soda stream machine and really do recommend it to all of you. It not only saves me a small fortune from buying endless bottles of fizzy drinks but it tastes great. If your looking at buying a Soda stream, why not check out their fab of Christmas deals.

Video - My Lily loves to sing.

My Lily love to sing.

My Lily just loves to sing. She may be only 4 years old but she knows the words to more pop songs than I do. It's actually quite scary. I just had to share a short clip of Lily singing along to one of her favourite songs. She's so funny, really makes me laugh sometimes.

I dread to think what she'll be singing next year - eek.

What does your little ones like to sing?

Review - Bazooka Candy

Bazooka Candy

Bazooka  kindly sent me some of their lovely Candy to try out last week. We were sent 4 Ring pops and 4 of their new Snap Its. Both looked very interesting, I must say.

The Snap it is a fab new lollipop that's comes inside a flip open case. It's great for the kids, not only does it look cool but the kids loved the fact that they could lick their lolly and then put it back away to save some for later. No more sticky mess from leaving their lollies on the sides or table. They simple flip them out and back in as often as they want. We tried a Blackcurrant, Strawberry and Cola flavours which were all delicious. Snap it's got a fab 5/5 from all of us. A huge thumbs up for their great taste and fab design.

The Bazooka Ring Pops come in a wide variety of lovely flavours and interesting colours. They're very bright and eye catching. Great for the kids. My girls loved these, what girl doesn't like pretty rings? These are fantastic, they taste so sweet and yummy and fit nicely onto your finger which is a lovely novelty idea. My youngest Lily loves lollipops but chops them away very quickly until they're all gone. Even though this lollipop is on a ring, its still completely edible and is quite easy to get off. My Lily is only  and she managed to eat and enjoy every last bit. Chloe my eldest likes to make hers last a lot longer and sucks it so slowly it could last for days. Which ever way your child likes to eat their lollipops, Ring Pops are a lovely little treat. We gave them a great 4 out of 5for their great taste and pretty design. Now if these came in a ring case, they'd have got a huge 5 as somewhere to store them once they've been licked would always come in useful.

Here at Mummy Of 3 Diaries, we loved the Bazooka candy.

What's your favourite Bazooka sweet?

Competition - Hotel Chocolat Dasher the Reindeer Gift Basket

Hotel Chocolat Dasher the Reindeer Gift Basket Review & Competition.

I LOVE Hotel Chocolat. It's one of my all time chocolate favourites! When I was asked if I'd like a Christmas gift to review, I was over the moon. I couldn't choose which one I'd like as the choice was just too hard so I happily decided to go for a surprise and I'm so glad I did. My postman delivered this lovely Dasher the Reindeer Gift Basket to my door last weekend and really made my day.

This gorgeous gift basket is so pretty, it's really nicely decorated and comes full of yummy chocolate goodies. The Basket contains all of these:

A Christmas Dinner box of ten turkey dinners which are cast in mellow milk chocolate. These went down a treat and with ten of them in a box, there's plenty for everyone to enjoy. A very simple chocolate but tastes great and looks fantastic. Very cleverly made to look like actual turkey Christmas dinners. These are very sweet and were a huge hit with my girls.
The box of Tiddly Milk Chocolate Reindeer's are so cute. There's 8 gorgeous little reindeer's for the whole family to enjoy. Who will you find in your box? Dasher and Dancer, Prancer and Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blitzen or even good old Rudolph himself maybe? Delicious little Milk Chocolate treats for both the kids and adults. Perfect for little hands but also perfect for Mummies like me too.

A yummy Milk Chocolate Reindeer Lick which I had to eat for arguments sake - I wouldn't want them too fight over it now would I? It was a yummy little treat that I enjoyed with my nice cup of tea. It went down nice and smooth. Another delicious item form the fabulous Hotel Chocolat.
Also in the gift basket there is a rather stunning Cool Penguin 100g Slab. It's so pretty. I couldn't find a good picture of this one but it can be seen in the main picture above. It's a little piece of chocolat heaven! So creamy and truly wonderful.

I Love Hotel Chocolat because they put 100% into every piece of chocolate they make no matter how small it may be. I was so pleased with this gorgeous gift set that I'm thinking I may have to buy a few more now for Christmas. They retail at a reasonable price of £22. You definitely do get the value for your money in this set.

Sadly mine has all been eaten by myself and my little ones but who would like to win one of their very own? Here's how you can.
